About Annalisa
I'm originally from McCrory, Arkansas, a tiny town deep in the Delta, where mosquitoes are as big as birds.  My hometown has a blinking red light and a couple of 4 way stops, but that's pretty much it!

I attended college at
Freed-Hardeman University, in Henderson, TN, a private Christian university and probably the closest I'll ever get to heaven on earth.  I was an American Studies Major/History Minor.  I've always been a "history nerd" and some of my fondest memories from my childhood entail me dragging my Mom to every historical marker I could find so I could take a picture.

After college, I lived with some friends in Nashville, then worked as a Park Ranger at Shiloh National Military Park.  Finally!  I got to put my college major to use!

I spent the past 3 years living in Mobile, Alabama, working for a non-profit and enjoying life along the Gulf Coast.

I recently moved back to my homestate of Arkansas to concentrate on my writing.  I now work as a consultant for my company in Mobile, and will spend the next few months traveling back and forth between Arkansas and Alabama.

I've been a writer pretty much my whole life.  My mom still has some of the stories from my early elementary years that I wrote, illustrated, and bound together to look like books.  And I can remember when I was 14 and I went on vacation with my best friend and her family.  I spent the entire trip writing what I thought would be the next great American novel.

My current projects are all pretty light-hearted and funny, all with at least a hint of romance, and of course, good Christian values.

My aunt,
Christine Lynxwiler, is a multi-published author, and I think watching her go through the process of getting published and being able to get advice from her is really what has given me the courage to actually pursue my dream.  Those moments after I hit the "send" button on a proposal are still a little scary though!

Aside from writing, I love gardening, shopping, watching cheesy reality shows, traveling, going to concerts, and of course, reading.  I also love watching sports, especially college football and cycling.

My dog Arnie, an 8 year old boxer mix,  is my "baby" and though he's a little neurotic at times, he's my most faithful companion!

That's me in a nutshell.
