Fun Facts
Since I love to make lists, here is a list of random facts about me (some with pictures to go along):
1. I get story ideas all over the place. Friends, family, people I see at the mall. You name it. I have an endless list of story ideas that I keep adding to in the hopes that someday I'll get the chance to write them. Photo below, me working as a park ranger--where I got the inspiration for Love is a Battlefield!
2. I love Elvis, Dr. Pepper, SEC Football, barbeque, Sonic, and catching fireflies.
3. Summer is my favorite season. If I had summers off, my life would be nearly perfect.
4. I have been dating for more than half of my life. Seriously. The upside is that it has given me an endless stream of stories for my books. Names changed to protect the innocent, of course. But I'm still looking. Photo below, me playing "bride" before my aunt's wedding--circa 1978.
5. I have backpacked through Europe twice. A third tour of Europe is on my "to do" list. Photo below, me in Turkey.
6. I have been accused of being both a Southern Belle and a Drama Queen. I consider both to be a compliment. Photo below, me age 3, in church clothes and my cousin Jeremy's cowboy boots. Southern and dramatic--that's me.
7. Receiving the contract from Barbour for the Walk in the Park series was a surprise. Last year, at ACFW Conference, I was called to the stage and presented with a book deal. Talk about a shocking, life-changing moment. Photo below, me hugging my editor, Becky Germany.
8. I was a cheerleader in high school...and I think I'll always be one at heart.
9. I love Ann Taylor Loft, Sephora, and Jessica Simpson Shoes. Even though I love to both play and watch sports, I have always been a girly-girl. Case in point--me, age 2, doing my nails:
10. I have the best family and friends a girl could ever hope for.
